what is used to read data on a cd

    (Jag Says:)

Data is stored on a CD in tiny blocks, each making up a ring. The concept is very similar to a phonograph record, only the information is digital. A laser is pointed at the CD, and the way it bounces back is measured, indicating the value of each block.
