I own my own house which is in my name. I would like to move my partner in and he will pay me rent. If we were to seperate would he be able to claim anything. Would a contract be advisable

Yes Jayne, get a legal contract sorted out, ie the rent one... This way you can stop making him from making a claim on your house.. if things go wrong
